In Observance of Patriot Day

September 11th  is now recognized nationally as Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance in honor of those who not only lost their lives on 9/11, but also those who risked their lives to save others. 

Patriot Day is a day that all Americans are encouraged to serve their communities in the days and weeks ahead.  From volunteering at a non-profit organization to donating clothing and food to those in need, there are many ways to bring service into our daily schedules. 

So, as we remember that tragic day and the many lives that were lost, we in the jewelry business can, in our own small way, show our commitment to this day by designing & wearing Patriotic themed jewelry and by donating our designs to those less fortunate.  Maybe you can visit sick children in the hospital and take each one a simple zipper pull or (for the girls) a dainty pair of earrings.  Perhaps you can donate a design to silent auctions for charity events.  Or, you can make a pretty bracelet to brighten the day of a friend in need.  Whatever service avenue you choose, remember that jewelry is more than fashion - it can also be therapeutic and bring a smile to otherwise sulking faces.
